With the advent of mega-events at the Interlagos racetrack, there was a need to structure its areas to meet the demand.
Initially, through Rígido Engenharia, the company responsible for managing the engineering of the racetrack's events, several meetings were held to develop the new Masterplan for the racetrack.
Among the studies, the expansion of the VIP areas in the center of the racetrack was created.
Following the creation of the JC Interlagos Consortium to carry out the works, the project for the central VIP areas, now the GRAND PRIX CLUB, was continued.
Totaling a 4x increase in the original area, the expansion of the floor slabs totals approximately 21,000 m².
